Hobby Lobby spinner toys recalled after toddler ingests battery

SAN ANTONIO – Hobby Lobby is recalling 43,000 holiday-themed, light-up spinner toys after a toddler ingested a button cell battery.

The recall involves Easter-themed and July 4th-themed spinners sold from February to April. The battery cover can detach, exposing the small coin cell battery. 

A 14-month-old child swallowed a battery and passed it. However, the powerful button batteries can severely burn a child's throat or trachea. They are also a choking danger to small children.

Parents can return the toy to the store for a refund. Images and information can be found at www.cpsc.gov/recalls.

Dynacraft is recalling about 20,000 kids battery-operated, ride-on toys after numerous reports of the accelerator pedal sticking. Seven children have been reported injured.

The recall involves three models, including the Surge Camo 4x4, Surge XL  Quad and Tonka 12V Mighty Dump trucks.

The toys were sold at Walmart, Academy Sports and Outdoors and Toys R Us. Parents can contact Dynacraft at 1-800-551-0032 or online at dynacraftwheels.com for a free repair kit.

Nearly 19,000 push scooters have been recalled.

Pulse Performance is recalling the Pulse Krusher Pro Freestyle with factory code 083WY, item No. 164257 and a date code of 10-8-2016 or earlier.

The down tube can break. The blue scooters were sold at Walmart.

Nearly 50,000 office chairs sold under five different brands are recalled because the chair can detach from the stand.

The recall involves chairs with a Leggett & Platt Office Components slider mechanism. The sliders were sold on five brands: Hon, Hugg, JSI, Sitmatic and Via Seating.

Model numbers can be found www.cpsc.gov/recalls.

The chairs were sold at Costco, Staples, Office Max, Office Depot, as well as furniture stores and online.

Pier One Imports is recalling its Temani wicker chairs, settees and ottomans because the ivory paint may contain excessive levels of lead. Consumers can return the furniture for a refund.
