Machete-wielding man attacked another man over alleged affair

Man thought victim was having affair with wife, investigators say

SAN ANTONIO – A man's remorse wasn't enough to keep him out of jail after police said he went into a jealous, machete- swinging rage.

Cesar Sandoval Luna, 40, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he attacked a man with a machete because he thought he was having an affair with his wife, investigators said.

According to the police report, Luna struck the victim's arm July 31, then hit him in the back of the head.

Realizing what he had just done, Luna took off his shirt and wrapped it around the man's arm, using his belt as a tourniquet to stop the bleeding, police said. That's when investigators said he picked up the machete and took off.
