The first couple to learn their fate: Shawn & Derek. They are safe!

It's time for a special performance. Parris Goebel has choreographed Jennifer Lopez. She and her dancers performed a hip hop routine to "Girl On Fire" by Alicia Keys.

The Wanted performed their hits "I Found You" and "Glad You Came."

The next couples to learn their fate: Apolo & Karina and Melissa & Tony. Both of these couples received one perfect score Monday. Apolo & Karina are going home. Melissa & Tony are in the finals! Apolo was very gracious. A taped piece showing his past performances played. No second mirrorball trophy for him!

Paula Abdul is back, y'all! She's not at the judge's table – she's performing! She called it her "Dream Medley."

One more performance: Derek took on a contemporary number. He also worked on the music for this piece.

The final two couples learn their fates: Kelly & Val and Emmitt & Cheryl - after one last commercial break.

Emmitt & Cheryl are going home. Another former champion kept from the big prize! Kelly & Val are in the finals!

Next week, the top three couples – all lady stars - get their freestyle and one dance we've seen before.
