KSAT to host phone bank Monday for National Crime Victims' Rights Week

Phone bank to be held from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO – KSAT will host a phone bank Monday for National Crime Victims' Rights Week in Bexar County. The phone bank will be held from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

It's an opportunity for people who are victims of crime or know someone who has been victimized to get help for themselves or their loved ones.

Each April, the Office for Victims of Crime helps lead communities throughout the country in their annual observance of Nation Crime Victims' Rights Week.

Locally, tens of thousands of crimes are committed each year. In past years the Bexar County District Attorney's Office assisted over 20,000 victims and witnesses.

If you believe you are a victim of crime, please report it to your nearest law enforcement agency.

For information or status of a case filed with the Bexar County District Attorney's Office, please call (210) 335-2311.

If you are in need of victim assistance, please contact the Victim Assistance Unit of Bexar County District Attorney's Office at (210) 335-2105.

If you need assistance with a Protective Order or services for domestic violence, please contact the Bexar County Family Justice Center at (210) 631-0100.

KSAT will have live coverage of the event throughout the day.
