Swap a toy for a cycling class with Toy Ride

People wanting to help out can still donate any time before Friday

SAN ANTONIO – Sunday morning marked the second annual Toy Ride, an event in which cyclists come together for a good cause.

Cyclists were invited to the Joyride Cycling location in San Antonio, where they could bring a toy in exchange for a free class, or drop off a toy at either one of two Joyride Cycling studios.

Everything collected will go to the Children of the EmberHope Youthville program, which is a nonprofit that serves about 40 San Antonio-area children.

Even if you didn’t participate Sunday morning, you can still leave a toy at the two Joyride locations any time between now and Friday.

"The best part is being able to drop off the toys to the home and see the child get excited,” said Darcy Barron, of the EmberHope Youthville program. “Everybody loves coming out and helping children. Especially during Christmas."

This is a KSAT Community event as part of our Holiday Helpers campaign.
