SAN ANTONIO – A man was killed Wednesday morning in a shooting on the city's East Side.
The shooting was reported shortly after 6 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 4100 block of East Houston.
A woman told police that when she opened the door, she found the victim on her doorstep.
The man, believed to be in his 20s or 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Residents told KSAT 12 News reporter Josh Skurnik that they heard more than a dozen shots around 4 or 4:30 a.m.

Hours after the shooting, the San Antonio police Crime Scene Unit was out, while investigators used a metal detector to collect bullet casings and took pictures.
"Nothing ever happens out here," said Betty Wheeler. She has lived at the senior complex for two years.
"All of the officers are telling me that they hardly make any calls in here other than, you know, loud music or somebody passing through and causing trouble," police Sgt. Bart Velasquez said.
Police and management said the man was not a resident and as far as they know not related to anyone living there.
With no witnesses, police believe this was a targeted killing in a random location.
