2 arrested in carjacking at Southeast Side convenience store

Nathan Franklin, 17, and Marquis Anderson, 18, were taken into custody

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Police have arrested two men they say were responsible for stealing a woman's car at a Southeast Side convenience store at gunpoint.

Nathan Franklin, 17, and Marquis Anderson, 18, have been taken into custody.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the pair along with an unknown woman stole the vehicle outside a convenience store in the 700 block of W.W. White Road.

The affidavit said one of the suspects first asked for a dollar before the other suspect pointed a gun at her. That's when, police said, the unknown woman punched the victim in the face before all three suspects drove off in the victim's car.

The affidavit said a tracking device led police to the vehicle, since the company that owns the title called police a short time later telling them where to find it.

Police said the two suspects were arrested at the vehicle. There is no mention of the woman involved in the theft however.
