Affidavit: Man charged in stabbing of cab driver

Francisco Flores, 28, facing charges of aggravated robbery

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested a man in the stabbing of a cab driver Monday night.

Francisco Flores, 28, was already in custody when he reportedly confessed to San Antonio police that he was responsible for the stabbing of a cab driver, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

A charge of aggravated robbery was filed against Flores Wednesday.

Police received a call around 11 p.m. Monday about the attack on the cabbie.

The affidavit stated that he told officers he had driven a customer to an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Mission Grande, and once at that location, the man refused to pay. He said the customer then stabbed him in the neck.

The person who attacked the cab driver ran away but left some personal property in the taxi which police have traced to Flores, the affidavit stated.

At some point after that crime, police arrested Flores on unrelated charges.  The affidavit stated that while detectives were questioning him about that case, he admitted to his involvement in the attack on the cabbie.
