Local theater offering educators free pass to Tuesday showtimes

SAN ANTONIO – The Alamo Drafthouse is kicking off a new summer initiative that aims to reward teachers. Beginning Tuesday, the theater will offer teachers one free ticket to the screening of their choice.

Teacher Appreciation Tuesdays will run every Tuesday from June 13 to August 22. Teachers who present a valid picture ID with proof of employment will get one free ticket to any show on Tuesdays, with some exceptions.

The fine print specifies that the theater will give free admission to one teacher - or one ticket per person, per day. The deal does not include Disney titles or special engagements, such as movie parties.

The deal is valid at Alamo Drafthouse's San Antonio, Laredo, New Braunfels and Corpus Christi locations.
