Texas authorities seeking information on toddler found at border

EL PASO – It's been four months since authorities found a toddler at the Texas-Mexico border --  and they have yet to identify him.

On Friday, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, in collaboration with the El Paso Police Department, released a statement asking the public for help identifying the child.

Authorities believe his name is Luis. He was found in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, on Feb. 22, but authorities believe the child may be a U.S. citizen because of his fluency in English.

The child has a small birthmark above his left eyebrow.

Those who recognize the child or have any information regarding his identity are asked to contact Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 915-566-8477 or the El Paso Police Department Communications office at 915-832-4400.
