Second body discovered in a year

SAN ANTONIO – Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered at Medina Base Road Park Saturday morning.

The biker flagged down police when he noticed the person in the car wasn't moving.

Authorities said the body has been there for about a week and said that the car didn't appear to be involved in an accident and that it was driven to the creek.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner's office is trying to determine a cause of death. Right now, the body is too decomposed to immediately determine a cause.

Authorities said the car doesn't match any existing crimes in the area, but will cross reference missing persons files.

This isn't the first time a body has been found in the park. Last year, authorities were called out to the park after someone found decomposing human remains.
