Boy being chased by dogs, hit by Jeep

Driver did stop to help

SAN ANTONIO – An 11-year-old boy on a bike fleeing from loose dogs Sunday afternoon was hit by a Jeep when he rode into traffic.

Police said the collision occurred around 5:30 p.m. just blocks away from Woodlawn Lake, at the intersection of Wilson and Texas Avenue.

The driver of the Jeep did stop to help the boy, police said.

An officer at the scene said the boy was taken to the intensive care unit of an area hospital.
