Cellphone pics lead to more charges against ex-Judson teacher

Matthew John Turner, 34, charged with sexual performance by child

SAN ANTONIO – Matthew John Turner, 34, is facing additional charges in connection with cell phone photos that state investigators said they uncovered while looking into earlier cases against him.

Turner is a former Judson High School teacher who quit his job in January after a teenage girl made claims that he had offered her money to let him take pictures of her body parts.

Earlier this month, he was charged with sex trafficking of a minor after a second teen told investigators with the Department of Public Safety that Turner had made her take part in sexual role playing with him.

An arrest warrant affidavit related to the newest charges against him stated that investigators discovered about 75 photos of a third teenage girl on Turner's phone while searching it in connection with the sex trafficking case.

It stated that investigators tracked down that 15-year-old who told them she met Turner online and was led to believe he was a teenager too.

The girl said Turner convinced her to send him photos of herself.  Later, she said he began demanding that she send him photos that we're increasingly more sexually graphic, the affidavit stated.

Turner, who had been out on bond since his sex trafficking arrest earlier this month, was booked back into the Bexar County jail Wednesday on four counts of sexual performance by a child.
