SAN ANTONIO – The city of San Antonio on Monday celebrated the groundbreaking for 32 single-family homes in District 5.
The project includes two- and three-bedroom homes in the Lone Star Arts District near Blue Star.
District 5 Councilwoman Shirley Gonzales said the area has been in desperate need of single-family units and rentals.
Gonzales said there will be plenty of shared family spaces and great amenities that will give families several options.
"I just think this is becoming one of the best places in San Antonio to live, and in result, we're seeing some big investments that have been lacking for a long time," Gonzales said.
As part of the Center City Housing Incentive Program, the city will provide $764,000 in incentives for the area's growth and improvement.
