SAN ANTONIO – The city of San Antonio's Department of Human services is looking to hire paid interns for their summer 2016 ambassador program.
The program was created to encourage students to invest in careers in San Antonio.

To be eligible you must have completed at least two semesters of college and maintain a 2.5 grade point average. Special enrollment consideration will be given to applicants attending school out-of-town or out-of-state.
Applications are due by March 31, 2016 at 5 p.m.
The Ambassador Program is an 11-week internship program, sponsored by the City of San Antonio that will run from May 20 - August 5, 2016.
In 2015, 120 students participated in the program, representing a variety of local, state and national colleges and universities, including St. Mary’s University, Texas A&M University, Saint Louis University, Cornell University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Princeton University, and Vassar College.
Participating employers represented the engineering, communications, local government and political science, non-profit sector, biology and health fields, and included Begstrom, Inc., American Red Cross, San Antonio Scorpions, City of San Antonio Bexar County District Attorney’s Office, Univision, Inc., KLRN Public Television, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System, Texas Biomedical Research Institute and the University of Texas Health Science Center.
