SAN ANTONIO – A customer was shot during at attempted robbery Friday afternoon on the city's South Side.
Police said two men wearing ski masks were coming around the side of La Nortena Fruit & Groceries in the 2200 block of South Flores Street around noon when the owner saw them through a surveillance camera monitor.

The owner then locked the front door, police said.
Moments later, one of the men fired two shots with a handgun, wounding a customer inside the store, police said. The victim, who relatives said was a man in his 80s, was taken to University Hospital in an unknown condition. He was to undergo surgery immediately.
The suspects took off in a red Ford F-150, police said.
