S.A. ICE agent accused of breaking into home, assaulting 2 people inside

Cesar Rosa, 37, faces felony burglary charge

SAN ANTONIO – An Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent assigned to San Antonio faces a felony burglary charge after deputies said he broke into a far west Bexar County home Thursday and assaulted a man and a woman inside.

Cesar Rosa, 37, was booked on a second-degree felony charge of burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit assault, according to preliminary details provided by the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

Rosa is accused of breaking into a home in the 10100 block of Bastrop Creek around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators determined there was enough evidence to charge Rosa and he was later taken into custody.

A background check revealed the home is Rosa's former residence.

A man and woman at the home declined to comment to KSAT 12 on Friday afternoon.

ICE officials released the following statement Friday evening:

"On June 15, 2017, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) deportation officer was arrested by Bexar County Sheriff's Office on local charges. Requests for further information may be directed to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office."
