West SA man wanted for sex assault of young girl

Jose San Miguel Ortiz-Lopez, 26, last seen in May

SAN ANTONIO – More than two months since a young girl said Jose San Miguel Ortiz-Lopez sexually assaulted her, officers haven't been able to find him.

Lopez, 26, is wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a child. The victim was under the age of 10.

"Lopez forced himself on (the girl) and sexually assaulted a female child as she struggled to fight him off," said Deputy United States Marshal Chris Bozeman.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force has joined the San Antonio Police Department, who is investigating the allegations, in the effort to arrest Lopez.

"Lopez fled the scene before he could be questioned about the crime," said Bozeman.

Lopez is 5'8" tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Lopez last lived on the west side of San Antonio.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 210-657-8500.
