Crime Stoppers seek tips in Jan. fatal shooting, robbery

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the people responsible for a fatal shooting and robbery.

Russell Jeremiah Cannon, (seen above) was shot shortly before 9 p.m. on Jan. 17 in the 7100 block of Oaklawn.

According to police, several unknown suspects entered Cannon's apartment with guns demanding money and property. Cannon was shot once and died at the hospital the next day, police said.

Anyone with any knowledge of the shooting and robbery is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
