Crowds march to honor fallen SAFD firefighter Scott Deem

Deem killed Thursday battling 4-alarm fire

SAN ANTONIO – Hundreds took to the streets of downtown San Antonio Monday evening to march in honor of fallen San Antonio Fire Department firefighter Scott Deem.

Deem was killed Thursday night while batting a 4-alarm fire.

“It’s a family member that we’ve lost,” San Antonio police officer Oscar Gonzales said.

The march started at Alamo Plaza and ended at Public Safety Headquarters.
