Two killed in wrong-way wreck on I-35

Police say man headed in wrong direction to blame for deadly crash

SAN ANTONIO – A deadly wrong-way crash killed two people and injured another on I-35 early Saturday morning. 

SAPD says a driver going northbound in the southbound lanes near AT&T Parkway hit another driver head-on.

A pick-up truck driver then crashed into the other cars.

Police say both the wrong-way driver and the person he hit died from the impact.

They say the pick-up driver was critically injured and rushed to SAMMC.

The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. and the southbound lanes of I-35 were closed until 9:30 a.m.
