Driver arrested after leaving crash site

Driver arrested was hit by motorcyclist

SAN ANTONIO – A driver was arrested early Saturday morning after leaving a crash site. According to San Antonio police, that driver was in a vehicle that had been hit from behind. 

Around 1:30 a.m., the driver of a BMW traveling down Interstate Highway 37 slowed down, and a motorcyclist crashed into the rear end of the car, said police. 

According to police, the driver of the BMW that was hit left the scene. Police found him at a nearby apartment complex on Loop 410 and arrested him. He is charged with failure to stop and render aid. 

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He suffered a broken leg and a road rash.
