No description foundCONVERSE, Texas – The Judson ISD school board has called for a bond election totaling more than a quarter-billion dollars on Thursday.
The school board voted unanimously for the May 2016 election.
If approved by voters the bond would fund several items:
Modernize mechanical, electrical, structural and safety features at older campuses
Update technology throughout the district
Fund two new elementary schools
Add academic, performing arts and varsity-level athletic fields to Mackey High School
Pay off debt incurred after a fire damaged Kirby Middle School in 2012.
Voters head to the polls on May 7, 2016 to decide the fate of the $265.8-million dollar bond.
