"What kind of person would just leave somebody like that? Accidents happen, and we understand that, but when you just leave somebody there like that, what kind of person are you?" Jennifer Ramirez, DeLeon’s niece, said.

DeLeon was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead. The 61-year-old was a father of four and also has eight grandchildren.

"He was a laid-back person, very friendly. (He was) always nice, no matter what life threw at him. He was always smiling, always happy. He always let us know how much he loved us," Ramirez said.

"We've lost our aunt in 1981 to a drunk driver and our cousin Lauren was killed in 2010 by a drunk driver. Just go through another tragedy like this is, we’re all brokenhearted," said Ramirez.

Ramirez said the family won't stop until the person responsible is behind bars. San Antonio police are asking anyone with information to come forward and call Crime Stoppers 210-224-STOP (7867).
