Fire destroys playground in Stone Oak Playground located in Iron Mountain neighborhood
SAN ANTONIO – A grass fire destroyed a playground Monday afternoon in the Stone Oak area.
A San Antonio fire official said the playground was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at the playground in the Iron Mountain neighborhood.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire before it threatened homes. A neighbor also helped battle the fire with a garden hose.
Arson investigators will look into the cause of the fire.
