Sixty different cultures are represented this year at the festival, which started in 1972, and is being held outside the Institute of Texan Cultures.
Organizers said this is a great opportunity to discover the variety of flavors and traditions you find in the Lone Star State.
Asia, Europe, music and dress — it’s a lot of work to put the festival together. And over the decades, generations have changed.
"Some faces we've missed … We've got a new German folk band coming. We’ve got a new German dance group coming, a Ukrainian dance group coming, so there's opportunity,” said James Benavides, with the Institute of Texan Cultures.
The festival continues on through Sunday. For more information, click here.
