GoPro to introduce drones in 2016

New techonology entering drone market next year

SAN ANTONIO – New technology will enter the drone market in 2016.

GoPro bought out Kolor, a French vendor with 360-degree video software, this summer, leading to rumors about the new drones being equipped for all-around shooting capability.

This acquisition could lead to immersive video without disruptive movement from the drone itself.

“There’s going to be a natural trickle-down desire at the consumer level where people are going to want to capture this type of experience for themselves,” GoPro CEO Nick Woodman said.

GoPro also announced earlier this year that it would be partnering with Google to launch a program called Jump, a way for filmmakers to share and create virtual reality films.
