YouGov ranks top 10 'most neighborly' American cities based on size

SAN ANTONIO – A new survey shows folks in the Alamo City are pretty darn neighborly. And darn-tootin’ we agree.

The list was determined on how many people in each community said hello to their neighbors and if they knew them.

According to the site, the list only included the 10 largest cities in America.

Rounding out the top five cities were New York City, Phoenix and San Diego.

In the bottom half of the list are Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Jose/San Francisco and Chicago.

Based on regions, the South took the title for most neighborly.

The data also showed Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio and Houston all ranked high as cities that are least likely to say they don't like making small talk with people in their community.

So strike up a conversation, San Antonio, we appear to be pretty good at it.
