SAN ANTONIO – Confirmation hearings for San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro to become the next Housing and Urban Development secretary are set to begin on Tuesday.
The U.S. Senate has it posted on their calendar and Castro's twin brother, U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro, TX-20, confirmed that the hearings will begin Tuesday.

Castro is in line to be the new HUD secretary, replacing Shaun Donovan, who is in line to become the White House budget director.
