Loftier goals set for Big Give SA in 2016

SAN ANTONIO – It's a 24-hour day of giving that starts at the stroke of midnight and ends with millions of dollars in possible donations.

The Big Give SA, which will be held May 3, is entering its third year with its highest goal yet.

The goal set by organizers is over $6 million, $2 million more than last year’s total in prize money and outside nonprofit matches given offline.

Nonprofits that are interested in signing up can go to thebiggivesa.org.

The registration deadline is March 31 at 5 p.m.

Prize money will be given out every hour to those with the most donors.

Those with the largest number of donors at the end of the 24-hour period will receive even bigger prizes.

The minimum donation is $10.
