Man arrested in home invasion in Elmendorf

Eric Hernandez charged with robbery

ELMENDORF, Texas – An Elmendorf man has been arrested on charges related to a home invasion at the home of his friend.

Bexar County sheriff's deputies responded to a call about a burglary Monday at a home in the 4600 block of Red Gum and said they found a woman shaken and visibly upset.

An arrest affidavit stated the woman told deputies a man had forced his way into her home, knocking her over a chair and causing her pain and bruising.

The woman, the affidavit stated, was able to give investigators the first name of the suspect.

She said he was someone who used to "hang out" with her son, who is currently in jail.

According to the affidavit, investigators said they followed up on several leads and identified the suspect as Eric Hernandez, 20. He was arrested Wednesday on a robbery charge.
