Man at large after attempted kidnapping at West Side Walmart

SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County deputies are looking for a man who tried to kidnap a woman at a West Side Walmart early Saturday morning. 

Deputies said the attempted kidnapping happened around 12:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Walmart on Culebra and Loop 1604. The man took the woman by force, deputies said. A few passersby attempted to help the woman. One person was caught in the suspect's car door and was dragged a few yards. 

Deputies caught up with the suspect on West Highway 90 and began chasing him. 

The suspect bailed out on John Ryan Boulevard and ran into a wooded area. Deputies said the victim was left inside the car. 

The suspect is still at large.
