Man charged with sex assault, trafficking of girl, 14

John Anthony Galvan, 22, among several men allegedly involved

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 14-year-old girl said she was put through a horrific ordeal that involved being drugged, sexually assaulted and tattooed against her will -- all after she met John Anthony Galvan, 22, at a party last summer, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The affidavit gives a lengthy account of the case against Galvan, listing several locations where offenses allegedly took place. It also names other men who the girl said took part in abusing her.

The teen told investigators with the Texas Department of Public Safety that she met Galvan at a party in Pleasanton last August. She said they both went to another home where Galvan, even though he was aware she was only 14 years old, had sex with her, the affidavit stated.

The girl told investigators that afterward, Galvan introduced her to one of his friends and encouraged her to have sex with him, too. She said Galvan later bragged about it on Facebook.

The affidavit stated that the girl said on another occasion, that people who she met through Galvan and his friends, injected her with heroin, had sex with her and tattooed her while she was passed out.

Investigators said the girl was able to point out pictures of Galvan and others on social media, and led them to locations involved.

Galvan was arrested Tuesday on charges of sexual assault of a child and trafficking of minors.
