Man found shot dead on street identified
Ricardo Monarez, 22, was discovered in 500 Block of Ellana Claire

The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office said the victim was identified as Ricardo Monarez, 22. The cause of death was gunshot wounds.

San Antonio police are investigating after a man was found shot dead in the middle of a South Side street early Thursday morning.
The shooting was reported around 2 a.m. in the 500 block of Ellana Claire Court, found not far from South Zarzamora Street and Linares Street.
Police said the victim was found with three gunshot wounds. Officers say they have reason to believe the victim did not live in the area.
The name of the victim has yet to be released, and so far no arrests have been made.
The investigation is ongoing.
