Man killed at South Side 8-liner parlor identified

SAN ANTONIO – A man shot to death late Wednesday night at a South Side 8-liner parlor has been identified as 36-year-old Jimmy Nunez.

Nunez was shot multiple times at a mobile home in the 2700 block of Oak Island Drive. His death as been ruled a homicide.

The mobile home where he was found had been converted to an 8-liner gaming room, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators believe Nunez's killing happened after a robbery at the mobile home.

"Preliminary investigation results are showing that there were multiple suspects involved in what started as an armed robbery,” BCSO spokeswoman Rosanne Hughes said.

She said on Thursday that at least one of the robbers had his face covered with a mask.

The Sheriff's Office has not said whether the 8-liner business was operating legally.
