Man shot in leg twice after allegedly breaking into storage unit

SAN ANTONIO – A man who allegedly broke into a storage unit was shot twice Friday. It happened about 6:15 p.m. at a home located in the 100 block of Overhill.

Police said the man was rummaging through the storage unit. Motion detectors alerted the homeowner that someone was on the property.

Investigators said the homeowners asked the suspect to stop. He didn’t, so the homeowner shot him twice in the leg.

The man was taken to University Hospital. At this time, police said no charges will be filed against the homeowner, but the investigation is ongoing.
