SAN ANTONIO – A man is dead and his killer is on the run after a Saturday morning shooting.
That shooting happened in the parking lot of a motel in the 13000 block of Interstate 37 South about 10:45 a.m..
Police said they got a call for a shooting at the motel, and when they arrived, they found the victim sprawled behind a van at the motel.
San Antonio police Sgt. Bobby Bradley said they're not sure who the shooter is, but witnesses report seeing a dark gray-colored car leaving the scene after the shooting.
Bradley said the victim appeared to be in his 30s, but couldn't confirm if he was a guest at the motel.
The Bexar County medical examiner's office will now work to identify the victim, while police search for his killer.
Witnesses reported hearing one gunshot and seeing the suspect vehicle flee. Anyone with information is asked to contact San Antonio police.
