Man stabbed at West Side convenience store, police say

Stabbing was reported around 9:30 p.m. on Brazos St

SAN ANTONIO – A local couple was attacked overnight at a West Side convenience store, San Antonio police said.

The stabbing was called around 9:30 p.m. Sunday from the 220 block of Jean Street, not far from Interstate 10 and S. Laredo Street.

Police said a man in his late 30s was stabbed at a convenience store found on Brazos Street by an unknown man. The victim and his girlfriend returned to their home on Jean Street where they called for help, police said.

The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center with a both a stab wound to his hip and arm. 

San Antonio police said they do not know why the couple was targeted.

The investigation is ongoing.
