SAN ANTONIO – The NFL football season starts next month, but before it does, a lot people will be getting their fantasy football team ready.
According to an American Express Spending and Saving Tracker, 74.7 million Americans plan to play.
With all those people playing, $4.7 billion will be spent on fantasy football this year.
Men aren’t the only ones playing. The tracker also found that 1 in 5 women are getting in on the action.
The popularity of fantasy football is growing, and the tracker suggests that more and more Americans are willing to spend on it.
The NFL season kicks off Sept. 10.
