Motorcylist taken to hospital after being rear-ended

Driver blames faulty brakes

SAN ANTONIO – A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after he was rear-ended.

San Antonio police said the man was stopped at the intersection of Culebra Road and North Zarzamora Street when a pickup truck crashed into him from behind.

The impact threw the man and his motorcycle across the street, police said. 

The man was taken to University Hospital. The driver of the pickup truck told police his brakes failed. 

It's unclear if the driver of the pickup will face any charges.
