SAN ANTONIO – A suspect who was arrested by police Thursday claims he didn’t have anything to do with a murder case that happened three weeks ago.
Juan Mendez is charged with murder in the death of 19-year-old Brandon Pizana. Mendez is the second suspect arrested in the case.

Police said Mendez and Darnell Allen Lee, who was arrested earlier this week, went to Pizana’s home on the city’s South Side on Aug. 2 to rob someone. That robbery led to a struggle and with Pizana shot dead on the floor.
Investigators believe Pizana wasn’t even the man the suspects were looking for.
