UVALDE COUNTY, Texas – The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating a crash that killed 12 people and left three others injured in Uvalde County Wednesday afternoon.

A group of seniors from the First Baptist Church in New Braunfels were involved, church officials confirmed.

The head-on crash between a pickup truck and a small van happened on Highway 83 near Garner State Park in Concan, just before 12:30 p.m.

Investigators said the truck heading north veered into the southbound lanes and crashed into the bus.
