Jon Kyle Brock, 20, was arrested Thursday and charged with capital murder. Police said he shot and killed Patrick Carey.

The shooting happened at a motel in the 7400 block of Culebra Road. Police said they found Carey with multiple gunshot wounds. They said Brock went to that location to confront the victim.

"(We) don’t know for sure if it was his intent to confront him or try to have some physical fight with him, or if he had the intention of going over there and shooting him, but we do know the outcome and we do have enough evidence to prove Mr. Brock is responsible,” said Officer Doug Greene, with the San Antonio Police Department.

Police said Carey and Brock knew each other. They said their investigation is ongoing.
