Law enforcement found him in the 5100 block of West Commerce.

Zachary Benavidez, 23, was shot multiple times during the robbery attempt Tuesday evening. His death was confirmed Wednesday morning.

The altercation happened at the Diamond Food Mart located on Vance Jackson Road.

San Antonio police said Taylor's arrest was a joint effort between several different law enforcement agencies including the Lone Stare Fugitive Task force.

According to the police, two men walked into the store around 5 p.m. and demanded customers to get on the ground. That's when, police said, one of the suspects walked behind the counter and hit the Benavdez with the butt of the gun.

Police said Benavidez then lunged at the suspect and fought him, ending up in a back room. The suspect then shot Benavidez seven times.

SAPD said the other suspect involved also shot a customer in the leg for an unknown reason. Both suspects fled the store into a nearby neighborhood.

The second victim is presently at a local hospital in stable condition.
