Teenage girl killed in South Side shooting, police say

Shooting reported in 3100 block of Mission Gate

SAN ANTONIO – A 15-year-old girl who was shot in the chest on the city’s South Side Tuesday afternoon has died, San Antonio police said.

San Antonio police arrived at the 3100 block of Mission Gate right before 4 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a call about a shooting.

Authorities found a young girl shot in the chest inside a house. Police said she was shot in the hallway.

A 2-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy were also inside. No adults were home at the time of the shooting. 

Police said they found a gun inside the house. They are still investigating. 

The teen had been airlifted to University Hospital, where she later died.
