Police seek suspect in Cricket Wireless store robbery

Incident occurred March 2 in 14000 block of Nacogdoches Rd

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for a robbery early in March.

The incident took place March 2 at the Cricket Wireless Store located in the 14000 block of Nacogdoches Road.

Police said the suspect walked into the store and asked the sales associate about some cell phones. That's when, police said, the suspect walked behind the counter and grabbed two cell phones before trying to run out of the store.

An associate managed to lock the front exit door before the suspect could escape. That's when, police said, an altercation ensued where an associate sustained an injury. The suspect fled out the back door, police said.

Anyone with any knowledge of the crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
