Police train for open-carry law

The training is expected to take place when the officers are on duty

TERRELL HILLS, Texas – Terrell Hills police officers are getting ready to train their officers on the new open-carry law.

However, they plan on first discussing the new policy and training with the community by holding a citizens advisory board meeting Wednesday at 10 a.m.

This gives police a chance to explain to their residents what they are doing “new” and it will also give them a chance to listen to their feedback.

They will be presenting a training PowerPoint on the new open carry law during the meeting. The same PowerPoint that will help train their officers on the new law.

The training is expected to take place when the officers are on duty.
