SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County elections officials announced they broke the 100,000-voter mark as people headed to the polls Tuesday.
Officials said 110,807 voters cast their ballots.
Elections administrator Jacque Callanen said the county had been averaging more than 1,000 voters per hour.
Callanen said one problem the county had is that there’s been an uptick in provisional voting, which means there are a lot of people going to the polls who are not registered to vote.
Callanen said the county had a few minor technical problems as voting started Tuesday morning, but things ran smoothly during the day.
One operator said she had to guide people trying to cast their vote on Election Day.
Callanen said she hopes for a total of 120,000 voters for Tuesday.
