Protesters gather at Rep. Will Hurd's office for 4 days demanding town hall

SAN ANTONIO – For the fourth day this week, protestors gathered at Rep. Will Hurd’s district office on the North Side, demanding the congressman hold a town hall meeting.

People held signs outside the building before eventually marching into the hallway outside the office. They said they wanted to talk to Hurd about policies and issues arising out of the Trump administration.

One protester, who said she was present all four days, said the political atmosphere “is crazy” and Hurd needs to hear from his constituents.

“I am not a Republican, but he needs to hear my voice, too. And he needs to take my issues into consideration and not just vote with party lines,” protester Rosey Abuabara said.

Protesters have flocked to town halls in recent weeks, taking out their frustration on elected Republicans.

A spokeswoman for Hurd said the congressman will hold a telephone town hall on Thursday.
