Texas Legislature: Rep. Roland Gutierrez, District 119

Immigration lawyer champion for education funding, public health care

SAN ANTONIO – Rep. Roland Guiterrez graduated from Central Catholic High School in San Antonio and went to law school. He specializes in immigration law. Since being elected to the Texas Legislature in 2008, Gutierrez has fought for issues like affordable public health care, public safety policies, and appropriate funding for public education.

Gutierrez is a former San Antonio city councilman. In the House, he represents Bexar County, including suburban areas like China Grove, Adkins, Converse, Schertz and Universal City.
